Purpose of the programme:

The HESA environment is large and highly complex.  Changes to requirements from HESA are published annually, however further changes are now being requested throughout the year. The HESA programme, having been written for HESA requirements over eight years ago, is not as versatile as it needs to be to fulfil today’s requirements, which makes it difficult to react to HESA changes. The HESA programme is now uneconomical to maintain.

Benefit to the University:

The HESA system will be flexible, less complex, configurable, and easily maintained.  As a result, the analysis and development time will be reduced on each occasion that HESA communicate a change.
